In this way, it is easier to perform effective aesthetic, ergonomic, and functional tests and avoid usability and manufacturing issues before starting production.

Method: The shape of the part is obtained by milling, which involves the removal of material from a block or cylinder of raw material. This operation is carried out through CAD-CAM programming of a CNC machining center. The complexity and precision of the manufacturing are directly related to various factors, including milling speed, the size of the machining center, and the number of available machining axis, usually 3 or 5.

Materials: plastic or metal.

Tolerances: from ISO2768mk standards to centesimal tolerances.

Applications: functional and aesthetic parts, made from materials of the same types as the final production materials.
